A nation in mourning

My nation is thrown into mourning and it is so saddening, so painful that it has left me speechless and even though i do not even know a single person that was on board the flight, my heart is torn and in pieces.
A complete family was aboard the flight and they were completely gone with the ill fated crash. A family of five : Father, mother and three kids all gone!

The lives of young entrepreneurs on board, people on board going on a work related trip , these young kids who you will see their picture below with their parents who have become orphans due to the crash that took the lives of their dad and mum.

This beautiful air hostess that was on board the aircraft and some unconfirmed reports say she is getting married next month.

The saddest of them all were people who were bumped into while at home as the plane crash landed into the peace of their homes and took their precious lives away!
This incidents happened in the later evening of sunday June 4th 2012 while there had previously been an attack on christians in Bauchi leaving not less than 15 people dead and over 40 injured. While we were yet to recover from that shock we were thrown into this unsuspecting crash.
It tells us how close life and death are. How it is just a thin line between life and death and how we are all at the mercy of Christ.
How also we urge to be prepared at any time to meet christ ’cause we never can tell the hour or the time, the moment when death will come calling.
As this is a moment of sadness, it is also a moment of rethink and deep thinking, a moment we should reconcile with our creator so that when heaven comes calling we will be fully prepared to go home to christ.
Deep in my heart i am still pained and saddened and i pray the lord grant these souls eternal rest and let perpetual light shine on them.

About Nita's Own Little Space.....

I am a blogger. I love to write. It is one of the most beautiful ways that life has given to me to express how i feel, how i see life. A way to confirm my most innermost and deepest feelings and also what seem so shallow. I just love to write, it is more easier than talking!!!

This is by far the saddest of plane crashes. So sad, its hard to really come to terms with what happened. God knows best. May their souls and the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

  2. So sad….especially as it was avoidable
God has blessed Nigeria enough. We are architects of our own misfortune
